Are sponsoring a bold, detailed PLAN for the rescue and reform of how we govern.
Our Congress has failed us. We need a new Congress made of the nation’s top talent and willing to form a non-partisan team committed to creating a government that gives all Americans a clear path to lives of achievement and a reward of happiness.
Here, then, is a synopsis of that
ACTION PLAN
**Candidates for Congress will be selected form our nation’s top talent whose leadership skills are known and admired (and they will have been vetted).
**All legislation will require a written Situation Analysis (SA) before discussion,
debating and taking a vote. This procedure is looking for the truths of each
situation because that’s what solutions rest on.
**All Representatives and Senators will be non-partisan and will function as a team perfecting the art of deliberation, collaboration, a culture of high performance and camaraderie.
**Conduct an assessment of all government entities to determine which should be eliminated, retained, reorganized or best handeled privately.
**Streamline the Federal Workforce.
**Put the nation’s affairs on solid financial footing…Manage the federal debt responsibly…Eliminate “pork”…Simplify the Tax Code with fairness as the guide.
**Find a way to make Social Security and Medicare permanent and sustainable.
**Amend the Constitution for term limits on all Representatives and Senators.
**End all payments, pensions, and perks to members after they leave Congress.
**Create a daily publication that honors truth in its coverage of the news about our new Congress’s activities and governance in general.
**Amend the Constitution to expand the Bill of Rights to include Fairness and Justice.
**Gerrymandering will disappear with a non-partisan Congress.
**Review and question the need for the Electoral College.
**Conduct a Situation Analysis for each of the following challenges to guide the New America Congress’s activities and priorities:
…Eliminate crime in all government activities.
…Eliminate false claims made to consumers of manufactured goods and services.
…Review the makeup and performance of the Supreme Court.
…Sponsor the creation of a “new” United Nations dedicated to the stewardship of Planet Earth’s support of human life.
…Undertake a study of historical successes and failures of government responses to weather and natural disasters, then create a better one.
…Create a “Center for Advanced Research in Medicine” including “The Institute for Human Brain Research”. The more we know increases our ability to treat all diseases and addictions.
OVER ALL
This PLAN will create a new culture in a Congress that won’t have spend up to half their time to get re-elected and won’t need to raise money by being beholden to special interests.
This Plan will foster a high performance culture of service to the people and be given huge blocks of time to craft solutions to our most vexing challenges, a situation that current members of Congress don’t have.
